The plant can grow to a height of 3m (10ft) however if using as a hedge it’s suitable for a height of 60cm (2ft)- 1m (3.5ft). Space the plants 30cm (1ft) apart for a low 60cm (2ft) hedge. Place them up to 60cm apart for a 1m (3.5ft) hedge. WebFor most box garden hedges a spacing of 20cm (8 inches) is suitable. This requires 5 plants per linear metre. The table below shows the options for planting at different stages of establishment. Instant hedging is the other alternative. These plants are provided in troughs which are 50cm long. 2 troughs would be needed for 1 linear metre.
