WebMay 27, 2012 · it's an oxidation of natural fibers; I think. some acid sprayed directly to the affected area will help removing the brown damage. if carpet would need to be re cleaned I would make sure that I acid rise double dry pass and fast drying with air movers. other wise I would probably not touch it.
